Here is my long awaited fourth and final preview of the high school basketball season after Counties and the Primetime Shootout have completed themselves. It's now time for the New Jersey State Tournament. Over the next few weeks, I'll be giving my daily predictions on all the high school and collegiate tournaments going on throughout the state and country. This to me is the most enjoyable time of year for a sports fan, especially if you're into high school/college basketball. Everyone starts with a clean slate and has a chance to make some noise in these tourneys. But if you lose, you pack up the balls and are home for the year. It's that whole aspect that allures me so much to all that goes on in March. The cinderella stories, the buzzer beaters, the exciting matchups, and more. March is the month that makes you feel great about being a sports fan. Tomorrow is the start of the Collegiate Tournaments which start in earnest with the Big South and Ohio Valley quarterfinals and the opening round of the Horizon League tournament. To me, the Ohio Valley Conference has gotten very exciting over the last couple years and has developed a three head monster with Austin Peay, Morehead State and Murray State. That tournament could be one of the great ones this year. I'll talk more about that tomorrow, but here are my picks for the Group I and III brackets tonight.
