2010 NJSIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament Group 2,4 and Non-Public B for Today, Conference Tournament Picks

Each day, I'll post how my picks have done so far in the high school and collegiate tournaments. So with that being said...
25-6 in Group I games
23-9 in Group III games
48-15 record overall through the games last night

There's plenty of ball tonight with the Group II, IV and Non-Public B games getting going. A few of the power teams such as Plainfield, Linden, Ridge, Monroe, Cherokee, etc. are all in action tonight and I wouldn't be surprised if one of these teams fell. Just ask Middletown South last night who were victims in a major upset when Mercer County's Hopewell Valley beat them. Already we're seeing signs of teams who ordinarily wouldn't have made the state tournament give higher seeded teams great games under the new rules. In addition to the high school games, three conference tournaments get underway tonight in the Big South, Horizon and Ohio Valley Conference. The most exciting of the three should be the Ohio Valley tournament because the top 3 teams (Murray State, Morehead State and Austin Peay) in the league have a similar amount of talent and any of the three could get into the tournament. Over in the Big South, if anyone besides Coastal Carolina makes it in, it's a surprise. And lastly, over in the Horizon League, it's the opening round games. Although Butler and Wright State have byes it'll be interesting to see who can face them down the road and potentially beat them which would steal an NCAA bid from one of the teams on the bubble. Should be a great night for ball and I'll get straight to the picks.
